Medical medium and aip paleo

Surprised to see Medical Medium and AIP paleo in the same blog? I can imagine. But these are the protocols that helped me in my quest for health. After the AIP elimination phase, that took about 6 months, eating paleo was my main focus for 5 years. Recently I discovered Medical Medium.

Medical Medium emphasizes on (healing) carbs from fruits and veggies. While paleo is often practiced lowcarb with emphasis on (animal) proteins and healthy fats. But, still most people on a paleo diet do eat a lot of veggies and fruits. And although MM is often practiced vegan, leaving out meat, fish and healthy fats completely is not a necessity.

My main focus with paleo has always been clean eating and avoiding ‘trouble foods’. For me especially gluten, dairy, eggs and soy. Which also attracted me to Medical Medium. A little apprehensive to venture outside of the lowcarb arena… I decided to try it for 3 months and I started to see positive changes in my health immediately. Exploring, learning and healing ever since.

About ME

Hi, this is ME. Short for Marjolein Eikenboom. Probably not easy to pronounce because it’s Dutch. So, it’s just: ME! I am 51 yrs old, living with my husband and daughter in a small town near the dunes and beaches of South-Holland in the Netherlands.

Having multiple health and food related issues myself… I know what it’s like to have to skip ingredients. But still we need our food to taste good! And we want to live a happy life. So enjoy my recipes. All are gluten, dairy, egg and soy FREE. You can also choose FREE from grains, legumes, nightshades, nuts, seeds, peanuts, beef, chicken, fish, fat, oils and fermented foods.

I have been sharing recipes in Dutch for a few years now. Just recently I started publishing recipes in English as well.
